Full Tower or Mid tower?....I need help!!
I am currently in the process of building myself a new computer. However as this is my first time doing it, I am slightly unsure of my needs in terms of Tower size. This is my set-up minus the tower:
BFG GeForce 8800 Ultra eVGA NVIDIA nForce 780i Western Digital Raptor 150GB Western Digital 750 GB Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Thermaltake TMG i2 CPU cooler Ultra X3 1000w Power Supply ReaperX OCZ 2x2GB Ram Plextor Optical Drive Windows Vista Home Premium Samsung 22" Monitor Logitech diNovo Edge Xtreme N Wireless PCI Adapter I plan to eventually triple SLI the Ultra's and add a blue-ray burner/player when the price drops. Also eventually upgrade to 8GBs of ram and add another 750GB hard drive. So my question is with this set-up and future expansion, what would you suggest in the terms of a Tower? Full size, or mid size? Ive narrowed my choices down to the Thermaltake armor+ full tower or the Thermaltake armor jr. mid tower, however I am open to suggestions. Also would it be a good idea to go with an LCS? And would a 1000w power supply even fit in the Armor jr? Thanks alot |

No one uses full-size towers anymore unless they are building a multi-terabyte server.

Yes, it is very possible, in fact, highly probable, that you are wrong. You would be a better person if you would just admit that. And I would be less annoyed. ![]() "I like doggies....and apparently dinousaurs, mostly because they eat cats!" --Nilpo |

Is there enough room for Triple Ultra's in a midsize case?

) But really Cooler Master stackers, full tower lian li's are very popular. But ya for a standard PC... Midtowers really have quite a bit of room. If you have an Armor Jr. then get the stuff see how it goes, you already have it, you can always upgrade later.

I have a full tower. It's great because everything is very spaced out, not cramped at all. I've build in Mid tower's before, and what I found is there's little to no room between a full size GFX card and the HDD bay. Lately I've been all about microATX for things like servers and media centers, but thats a different topic.
