Adding a Handle
I know that people have suggested that you secure your own handle on the case, which is a good (and cheap) alternative. Afterall, it is easy to go to your local hardware store and purchase the necessary hardware.
I personally like acrylic cases because of the ease of modification. With a dremel, you can do just about anything to them. The only drawback to acrylic though is the cleaning factor (you can't use chemicals other than acrylic cleaner) and the fact that you can see EVERYTHING in your computer. A lot of people like this though.
There are several other advantages to an acrylic case too. But I think the pros outweigh the cons.
Good luck on your case hunt!

It's been five months since the last entry. Likely the idea has evaporated.
Clear acrylic cases are neat to look at, but taking a dremel to one is a risky venture-- unless you are an artisan with lots of practice working acrylic, the end result is most likely to be underwhelming at best.
Opaque acrylic is almost as bad, but rarer... in fact, a colored opaque acrylic case might be a much more fetching thing for that reason.

Enable BSOD: Control Panel/Systems, Advanced Tab, hit the Settings button under Startup and Recovery, and under the System Failure area, uncheck the Automatically Restart checkbox.

Lot of truth in that. I would suggest to anyone to actually practice on a scrap piece of acrylic first and get used to it. It does take some...skill. Masking tape and low drilling speeds are your friends in this application.

For those of you that like making acrylic cases...I would like to tell you about a little trick I've learned and used over the years.
Once you have cut/machined or dremeled said piece you can use a propane torch to smooth the edges to a glass like finish.
You can even take out scratches with a pecil tourch.
It does take practice to get it just so...a few secs too long and it will bubble...too short ,you will still see mach/dremel marks.
ENJOY

Adjustable temperature torch or just a plain ole propane torch?

It's mentioned in most acrylic case tutorials online.
Never knew...I learned from a older guy, when I used to make small specialty machines...we use a lot of Plexi-Glass to make sheilds...so people wouldn't lose fingers
