sounds like a laptop to me.
i woulda thought of : how about having a 17inch LCD pannel on you side pannel on the inside of the comp? now THATS a real lan party rig, one piece... well... almost. still got mouse and plugs here and there. only problem i can foresee with this is how to clear the heat from the lcd, and maybe some clearance issues with the cpu fan if the lcd is thick. but then again, i guess we could play with ducts and all.

could be a laptop, but it's a briefcase. I also thought of using a CRT, gutting it, using the front area for an LCD screen and have the rest of the extra space for the computer. So basically turning a CRT monitor into a self-contained computer.

Well I saw a guy who modded an NES system into a self-contained computer. got me thinking of what I could do. Came up with a lego case, briefcase, and CRT....but none really are all that good.

actually what he did was mod the NES itself. He took out the guts and put a computer in it. On the computer was set up with game emulators - arcade, SNES, NES, gameboy, N64, etc. All contained inside this little NES game box. It got me thinking of what I could make a computer into. Still got nothing except the briefcase idea. (and even that's a bit...bad)

i know... but IMO it would be cool to mod something into the monitor itself, making it like an apple mac...
