Not much of an update here. Been real busy with work and family. I had to go to the doctors for passing out. They ran an MRI, EEG and other tests in an effort to find out why. I have had my driving privileges suspended until they can determine what is going on. Needless to say my wife has a heart attack when I fire up any of my tools. I was able to do some work here to get the trim moving forward.

Dayum. thats a HECK of ALOT of pictures. And Dayum. you build your own tools! o.O"
nice work btw. Nice to see people like you around here. Only one detail : i think that ultra PS is in the "not so great" power supply category. i'm asuming you'll be using it for the water pump set up. I'd suggest a better power supply, but i guess it can do the job. Although i would hate to see your system fry were the WC system to die because of a poop psu. That is ONE SWEET setup. although not intel core2, we do need people buying AMD to support the underdog - or else where will competition arise and generate awesome prices? (just bought me a AMD X2 - awaiting the psu to power it. LoL.)

I cant make corrections to the earlier pages, there is no way to edit them. So I just try to go forward from here. Since I have eliminated several of the links the bandwidth should not be exceeded and maybe the images would be there 8/24

Wow your case looks great! I am also planning to build one of my own in my industrial tech class at high school. My design looks a bit different from yours though. I also wont be doing water cooling. I will post some images some time of my idea. One thing I am doing though is isolating the power supply from the rest of the parts... like, the power supply will be in the bottom of the case and their will be 2 fans in the front. 1 for the power supply and the other will blow air into the "main" part. also i will have a large fan in the to to pull rising air out. When I draw up someting with the schools cad ill post it. Good luck to you though, and I look foward to updates!
PS I dont live far from you haha! (Ashland county) This heat has been killer!

Thank you very much. One thing you may have to consider is mounting the PS upside down unless you have a way to vent off the heat. The fans in the PS are very much part of the air flow in your system. The PS was designed to pull air from the case and vent it out the back. Putting the PS on the bottom (a very good idea) will require that the PS be upside down. There is also another problem and that is that heat rises. If the fans are not sufficent to pull the heat out, the PS may hold that heat in by its suction (and that is not a good thing). Just some food for thought. If you isolate the PS from the rest of the case make sure that there is proper heat flow to cool the PS. Ashland County huh. Gotta love it. If you need some wood working tools just hollor!!!! |
