try reloading the drivers....just try it.
then try reloading direct x 9c, and if that dont work, try getting an RMA on the card.
also, when you run, disable any programsd runnning in the task bar like coolmon or what not.

I installed new drivers, old drivers, reinstalled new and old drivers, uninstalled/updated/installed DirectX components.

agreed on ati tech support. all of their stuff is pretty much automated unless you call them, which then they would be pretty helpful.

Did you clean the old drivers off properly?
Also, I don't put much stock in benchmarks. People have ways of altering their scores. I had a 9800XT when they first came out and people were out-scoring my card like crazy. I was using 3dmark03. I got all mad of course, then I noticed that almost all of the people with better scores weren't running all the tests. So, where my PC did shitty, the others simply cut that part of the test out completely. I knew my card ran great...why care about benchmarks?

Because I'm sure your card did'nt get as low as 12-13 FPS.

What really pisses me off, is people complaining about 70-80 fps.

i now it doesnt sound right but i read the 9800 pro se 128mb out performs the

256mb in some areas.But still that cant be your problem did u intsall the card to ur power supply

if not theres ur problem
