How come it won't run anything past DX7? My GF256 is a DX7 card...

Anyway, I love the attention this is getting I bet a few of you have never played in such a way with this kind of hardware... and also, you can overclock it until it breaks and not really care

Case in point - My GF256! Yesterday I overclocked it until I saw artifacts. I used a delta-clone 60mm fan to cool it a bit more, and went further. It artifacted more. So I went a little further, it artifacted quite a lot, but gave me a great score. Then I went a little further... and it began to smell. And then I couldn't make out much on screen between artifacts... and the FPS counter went down to 4! I promptly became scared and took it down to stock - where it continued to artifact the same amount! Gah! Fortunately, after a reboot, it was fine again... hehe! So, basically, there are no more clocks left in my card... if someone beats my score I'm screwed!

Oh, and go go bobbaroo!!

Because it's a 2mb graphics card made by S3 called a Trio 64V+ or somethign. I've tried OCing it, but there really isin't anything that I've found that will support it, not even powerstrip! Oh, and the core/ram is not even passively cooled, it's cooled by stangnant air with a lack of any HS on it... lol Either way, I'll cool the mosfets on the board somehow because I LITERALLY burn myself when I touch the HS cooling them, I can prove it to you, but I don't want to do that again... And I think that I'll throw on my A64 HSF on the CPU just for fun. I'll need to find a way of mouting it though...

well i'll be in once i finish the modding and actually boot it up.

it's Cyrix G400 with 64Mb of pc100 ram... in a book case, so onboard graphics.

anyone know of a port for SuperPi to Linux? it'll probably be running DSL with any luck. but i've got a 98se just in case

ok ive run my system with the fireGL 1000 pro with.... needless to say dismal results

I think I'll run 3dmark 2000 on my laptop.

edit: 537 3dmarks in 2000! Yeah! (bottleneck in this system is definitely the vid card)

4130 in 3DMark2000 with everything @ stock, XP 2000+ Palomino, 512MB PC133, GeForce2

thats stupid because i would own you all by getting not only low 3d performance but also low 2d performance by underclocking to shit my rage 128...
but no, i dont feel like clockin gmy ram to the low 10s mhz and the core to like 30 just to get 0.1 fps in 2001 and 2 fps in WINDOWS.

ok i got 2160 on 2001SE with everything at stock but i will soon be modding and clocking my asus 7100 to see what i can get, the system has gone under a few changes itself, different memory, instead of 2x 128mb PC100 I now have 1x 256 PC133 a nice coppermine @ 650MHz as apposed to shitty katmai's @ 350 or 400MHz, motherboard is unknown, it is still an AOpen but i dont know what model, i will look when my fingers stop bleeding, and instead of an unnamed 250w psu i now have an unnamed 400w psu, yay moi
