heh. i cant oc my gpu ram. and i figured out why my score is so crappy....

1) the gpu is passively cooled and runs at 90mhz
2) the ram is not cooled , super slow prior to pc66 ram runing at 22mhz max stable at 23 mhz.
3) its using software d3d
4) mother nature wont run

whats funny though is that atitool states teh default speed of the card is 90/90. i tried to use those setting at first, thinking : OOOHHH!!! thats why its so poopy. its Underclocked. Well, when i clicked the apply settigns button, the whole screen filled with artifacts and was COMPLETELY YELLOW.lol. luckly i have the reset button near me... woulda probably fried. lmao.

another thing taht i find extremely wierd is that ati tool reports that the card has 8 pixel pipes.... i mean... my 9600 has 4 pipes and something from 1998 has 8 pipes? thats just wrong...

p3 500mhz
AOpen AX6B motherboard
256mb ram (unbranded)
fire something-or-other 8mb card/ATi rage 3D pro 16MB/soon to be ASUS 7100 (not pro) with voltmod
windows 98SE
8GB fujitsu hard drive.

all the hardware you would expect to find in a business office, and guess what, it is

i bet dragon-fly is still gonna beat me,

i will post my score later

Damn, I just realized that the Cyrix machine won't do anything past DX7... Does 3DMark00 run on DX7? Now I'm going to find myself buying a high end PCI graphics card just so I can play with it. lol

I don't know. I know 99 uses 6.1, so logically i assume 00 uses 7.
