KK, On the graphics tests I get a reasonable framerate. I dont understand why on the CPU tests however I get a solid 0 fps throughout, and basically have to cancell the benchmark because it'd take hours to complete like that.
Do any of you have suggestions on why the CPU tests are failing? I can provide more info if needed just ask.

Most CPU's give terrible framerates during that part. Have you tried actually letting it run its course and then comparing your score to others?
By the way, I also have troubles with 3DMark06... but it's in the 3D tests. Everyone who is having issues appears to be using nVidia cards... lets hope it's a driver issue that can be resolved

Well, so long as you aren't trying to break any records, all I can say is see if there is a new patch for it, or just use 05'. I've had loads of problems with it since I first got it, starting with issues unpacking it...

Haha, I couldnt unpack 06 from guru3d either. Had to get it from one of the other sources.
Its totally ridiculous though I really wanna try it out.
I get 70k in Aquamark so I wanted to see if I made any toplists with 3dmark as things were or if i should get a 7800 etc (I run AGP so cant get a 7900 )
If anyone can provide feedback that might help me get past this I would love you for it. I hate to believe its simply a case of "a buggy program with lots of problems" :P

I havnt had any issues running 3dmark06 on my platforms, AGP 6800, 6800GT, pci express 6800GS, 6800GS SLI, and 7900GT all ran perfectly fine without artifacting or crashing...inless i pushed my hardware to far :P
The cpu tests in 06 are pretty crazy, look at the top score on 06 right now, kingpin's 3.7ghz FX60 dual core scores .91 and 1.4fps in the cpu tests. Hell the highest cpu score in 06 was with 2x Opteron 275s at 2.8ghz and that scored 1.26 and 1.84 on the cpu tests.
So its normal to see 0 fps in the cpu tests, when I first ran the benchmark I thought it had crashed cause the cpu tests were going no where, but I left it and it went through just fine. With my 3200 venice at 2.6 I score .3 and .6fps in the cpu tests, not bad for fanless gaming settings
