3DMark06 Help
Hey guys/gals. Need help in tweaking my PC. I got a score of 5191 Which I think is utter crap compared to what my PC spec is. I have AMD FX-60, MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI, 3GB Corsair XMS, GeForce7900GTX OC, X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS, 74GB WD Raptor SATA & 230GB WD SATA. I would think I would at least be getting scores close to the top 25. Any help would be greatfull. Thanks

No. In order to get into the top 25, you will need another 7900GTX, and on top of that, you will need to run highly overclocked. One of our members is one of the top 25.He has a FX-60 overclocked to 3Ghz, and 2 7900s in SLi, and he scores upwards of 8K.
Overclocking your video card is a lot easier then overclocking your CPU. Download and use THIS to unlock Coolbits 2. Its a application embedded into the Forceware drivers enabling you to hit one button, and have the app automatically detect a stable overclock (most of the time).
As for overclocking your CPU, google around, you should find quite a few guides on overclocking your FX-60.
Edit* Also, your link does not work. You need to use the compare link, not the link at the top of your browser window.

Thanks, I fixed the link should work now. But I have a question. I was comparing my system to some one with the same processer and video card as I. And I noticed in thin in the Physical / Logical CPUs Mine:1 / 1 His:1 / 2. I noticed he has a different mobo than me. When I bought my AMD chip last week, I read my mobo manual and it said it supported AMD FX series CPU. I looked up his mobo and it said it supported AMDFX and Athlon X2. Athlon X2 is dual core right? The AMD FX 60 is dual core. So maybe my Mobo is only picking up 1 core?

You likely need a BIOS update. Googling the model number of your board brought up the K8N Neo4 Platinum SLi, and standard K8N Neo4 SLi, I looked at the BIOS update page for those two boards, and it seems that if the version of your BIOS is older than 5/10/2005, you will not be able to fully utilize Dual Core CPUs. Go to the MSI website, pick out your board and download the latest BIOS version, and follow their instructions on updating your BIOS. Be carefull, fudging up a BIOS update can leave you in quite a pickle.
