3DMark03 Score Variation
I am overclocking my video card memory, and my 3dmark03 score rose accordingly as I raised the frequency step-wise. Once the card became unstable, I lowered the frequency a little, and retested. When I retested on the last stable frequency, the test score came back almost 200 points lower than before, though there were no artifacts that I could detect and the system seemed stable. Why is that?

GeForce 6200 with Coolbits 2
i'm using a geforce 6200 (Ultrasilent by XFX) overclocking with Coolbits 2. The reboot idea from ricemarine seems to do the trick. I'm amazed that I can't overclock the core hardly at all, but I can overclock the heck out of the memory. The stock settings were at 350MHz core / 532 MHz memory (already 132 MHz over the reference speed) but I can run the memory at 762 MHz with no instability for hours on end.

Notice the puny cooler that the core likely has placed on it and how hot it gets. You can't really expect to get very far with it if you're on the stock cooler. And especially since it's a fanless cooler... RAM can clock really high even without any cooling, so that's you're explanation.
