X1650 Pro Vista

This card has been working perfectly for years - until now!
Whether it's linked with SP1 I'm not sure as it seems to only have started since I installed that?
Problem is that when I try and do certain things - convert an avi using Easy Media Creator or play a game, randomly the screen will black out for a couple of seconds and then come back on again? I get a message saying that the display driver has stopped and has recovered. After that all is fine again BUT the annoying thing is that Easy media Creator for instance starts the coversion process all over again ! I have downloaded the latest Cataylst drivers and although the display appears brighter and crisper than before (coincidence?) it still blanks out randomly. This is the PCI-E version not the AGP BTW.

Any ideas please?

Is the program listed as compatible with Windows Vista? Try running the program in Windows XP SP2 Compatibility mode and doing it. I had the same card a while back but it was pre-SP1. Never had a problem with it.
