I have a Radeon X1200. It has s-video out and VGA out.
I have a vga to component cable, and my hdtv has component input. Now when, I plug everything in and enable the tv as a monitor, nothing shows up. The screen i just black. There is SOME signal being noticed by the tv, because otherwise it would show a box that says no signal. Any tips on how I can get this to work? |

I'm not sure, but converter boxes are expensive, so I'd like to try this first. I'd stick with S-video, but I want a HD output. |

So try readjusting the screen resolution also why dont you just connect it through vga?

Adjusting the resolution doesn't seem to help. My tv doesn't have a vga connection, sadly. It has everything else, just not vga ![]() |

I have a laptop, so it's actually the ATI Radeon Xpress X1200. It doesn't have DVI out. I guess it's part of the motherboard, so I can't find any support for it on the ATI site >.> ATI has dongles for HDTV, but they are listed as working for only particular cards. And mine doesn't exist v.v |

Isn't VGA analog? And isn't HDMI Digital? A cable won't work if it needs converting. And a box is $100+ |
