UGH!!! RADEON x1950 pro! low fps!

Hello! im comeing to u ppl with much need! when i first got this graphics card it wasent the best but it was atleast playable! with at least holding with 30 but would still drop in the teens! now it is just 20 and below most of the time! and i cant even play counter strike source! i have 2 gbs of ram! and i would of hoped that this new graphics card would of saved me from this terrible low fps! its gotten so bad to the point where i dont even wanna play counter strike soo plzz! if some one know how or why this is going on help! greatly appreciate it!

that's really weird, a X1950pro should play CSS more than fine. What are the rest of your system specs and do you have the latest ATI drivers for your card installed? also is there much running in the background?

well wat for spects u mean under system properties? srry n00b lol but if so intel(R) Pentium(R) 4cpu 2.80 ghz 2.79ghz,2.00 gbs of ram
and i have windows up the 2nd service pac and yes i did install the latest drivers off the site and the catalysts center. and no i just redid my computer there is nothing but my stem on my comp cause that really all i wanted this graphics card for was counter strike! lol but yes! that is it thanks for the reply!

I really have no idea what's going on with your rig, I had a rig with 1gb of ram and a 128mb 6800gt and I could run it fine at 4x aa over 40fps all the time.

i play on a laptop with a mobility x1600, an x1950 should wipe the floor with CSS... where did you get it from? how much did you pay and have you fitted an after market cooler?

i know steams forums have a lot of people who have similar problems, CSS isnt without its bugs. can you play other games fine?
