Slight problem with new Sapphire HD 3850

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and I am seeking some help in regards to a brand new ATI Sapphire HD 3850 (512 mb, 256 bit, DDR3, AGP 4x/8x) video card that I bought and upgraded from a Geforce 6800XT.

While the video card seems to be running fine, there seems to be some problems in regards to the colors I see on the monitor when surfing the internet using the Mozilla Firefox browser: there seems to be slight hues of red on links that usually are supposed to be blue as well as a red background on the back of the left side text for windows. For example, on Wikipedia's homepage many of the bold blue links are dark red. Whenever I move my cursor over the red, they become the correct color, and change to dark blue. Similarly, on Weatherbug, many of the links are red.

I really don't what to do, my games appear to be running fine but I already cleaned my AGP slot and connected and reconnected the cable so I'm stumped.

Thanks guys.

Hello sir.

I have not tried another monitor and have no reason to believe that it is the fault of the monitor since it was working perfectly before I switched the card. I am currently reinstalling new drivers and just deleted the remnants of the Nvidia folders. I have not played around with the color palette too much.

Thank you good sir.

I dumped the last vestiges of the Nvidia driver and installed the newest drivers and the problem appears fixed. The links are blue, my games run fine, and the red hues have disappeared.

okay thats good. Sometimes driver conflicting can cause this and sometimes a card over driving a monitor can do it
