Computer Info:
____________________________________________ Operating System: Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (5.2, Build 3790) Service Pack 2 (3790.srv03_sp2_gdr.070321-2337) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz Memory: 4094MB RAM Page File: 667MB used, 5212MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) Video Card _____________________________ Card name: Radeon X1950 Series Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc. And, where could I get a proper download link, b/c idk if i'm downloading proper driver installs. So yeah, question 1 down. Question 2 ___________________________________ Should I be getting 20-40 FPS in World of Warcraft? 20-25 in big, populated areas and 30-40 in non populated areas. It seems REALLY low to me. Also, I have problems in Assassin's Creed(Which I just got, and havent been able to play yet ), and other Games. So, Should I be having such problems as low FPS in lower end Games like WoW and Should higher end games like Crysis and Assassin's Creed be unplayble? Question 3 ___________________________________ Is Overclocking an Answer to my questions? Should this and could this help me at all? I dont think so personally, but I thought it was worth asking. So, I hope someone here can Help out. I Appreciate the help in advanced. Thanks a Ton, Vetona |

I am having the SAME issues with my x1950 Pro and World of Warcraft. My FPS is sporadic, tops at 30fps, bottoms at -2 (negative???).
My card is about 6 months old, when I first installed it, I got 60fps all over the game, steady. About 3 months ago, it started this FPS "lag" crap. ANY help with this problem would be appreciated, and in the meantime, i will try to find a driver cleaning program and start there. My puter is clean inside (bi-weekly cleaning on average), my driver is (should be) the latest on the ATI site, I have no idea what AA/AF is to check that?, puter is about 14 months old, isn't overheating, and I use a PCI soundcard with onboard disabled. My system specs: (prolly way too much info, I apologize in advance, not too techie, so I used testmyhardware.com to get the info I hope you need) Mainboard Bus(es) : AGP PCI IMB USB i2c/SMBus MP Support : 1 CPU(s) Model : MS-7325 Version : 1.0 Serial Number : To be filled by O.E.M. Interesting you guys are seeing these issues.
I havent tried WoW in a long time, but i managed to play pretty good with mid range settings at a res of 1280x720 on my X1950 Pro. At the time i was using whatever was the most current ATi driver around. And currently im using the 8.4 drivers. Havent noticed a performance drop yet...anything based on unreal engine 3 i can run at max settings (cept bioshock, medal of honour airborne) GOW ran perfectly Turok currently runs at everything maxed. Frontlines i dont max out cuz it'll look pretty but gets laggy when playin online. Depending upon whats going on in your machine...you might need to do a spyware/adware scan, defragment the drive n such.
