Help with 9550 and X1650 PLEASE

hi.. im new to the forums here...
i need help with my X1650 PRO AGP....
the problem i have with my X1650 is that.... games are unbelievably laggy with wierd lines across the screen or in the graphics itself. and then... if the pc is on for like 30 minutes.... the screen suddenly has thousands of colourfull lines like a rainbow across the screen. and that really worries me.
i then put in my 9550 and that runs fine, except for the fact that it has a wierd glitch too with every game.... around the textures (like lets say two roads in GTA san andreas, you can see them put together... or the different parts of cars.. or buildings... as if they were stuck together).
now... what i would now what i could do to fix those problems?

First of all you should try completely reinstalling your Catalyst drivers. Next, make sure your X1650 isn't overheating and that you have adequate cooling in your case. From what you describe on your X1650, I'd say it sounds defective, probably bad VRAM. What kind of power supply do you have? Also, do you have any other AGP cards you can try in your motherboard?

When I restart my monitor, my screen comes out fine, after the rainbow lines and white screen. It usually fades off after some time with some monitors. When the monitor crashes, unplug it, wait 10 seconds or if itt was in standby status, wait until the light goes out, then plug it back in. If you still have problems, try changing drivers to mmc 9.14 and catalyst 8.5.
Good Luck!
