Question Help configuring ATI 9500 Pro/ 9700 for Mediaportal application.

Am trying to get my ATI 9500 Pro/ 9700 to function properly with the media center program MediaPortal.

In Short:
I recently "upgraded" the [and by 'upgraded' I mean that I recieved a hand me down] video card I have in my computer (from: GeForce FX 5200 To: Radeon 9500 Pro/ 9700) but now I can't seem to get MediaPortal to display on my 2nd (TV) display. I have the second display set up as an extended desktop (not clone view) which worked fine with my Geforce but I get nuthin with the Radeon. [And by 'nuthing' I mean I get no menu screen from Mediaportal OR video when a video is playing. I am assuming that the Radeon 9500 should work with Mediaportal but for the life of me I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some details:
I can get MediaPortal to work if I set up my second display as a clone but then the menus don't fit on my tv (my TV is 800 x 600 and my computer monitor is 1280 X 1024). I can also get the video to work on my second monitor if I set up MediaPortal to use an external media player (MPC) but then I do not have access to the menus on my second display and my sound and video controls (and a bunch of other stuff) become awkward to access. In trying to research this issue I seem to be hearing something about trouble with ATI capture driver (or something like this) but since I barely know what the capture driver is, which I have or how to download the "correct" one, I don't know where to go.

I have posted in the Mediaportal forums but have gotten no responses. I am hoping someone here might be able to help.

Thanks in advance for any helpful input/guidance
