HD6570 help!

Hey, I recently built my first pc that I will be using as an Audio work station (well it is a fairly low spec machine at the moment but I intend on adding new components each month.

Today I bought a Saphire HD6570 as the onboard graphics very of a very poor quality. After installation everything seems ok but when I take the monitor back out of the motherboard vga socket and plug into the card socket nothing happens.

I went into the bios and changed the display from onboard to pci express and still, nothing happens. Infact I had to take out the clock battery on the motherboard to reset the bios just to use the display output on motherboard.

I also got a loan of a HD 5670 to try out incase the output of the card was faulty, but it does exactly the same thing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Specs of machine are as follows.

Asus N68-s
4GB DDR2 1066mhz ram
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.9 GHZ
Windows 7 64bit

Solved!

I didn't realise that setting the bios to boot graphics from PCI instead of PCI Express would do the job.

Oh well, problem solved.
