Only one PCI x16 and I'd like to get something to go from pcie to pcie x16 and then use crossfire with another HD4650. Is this Possible?
If not can I use crossfire with the HD4650 I have and another PCIe card?
How about 2 PCI Video cards and Crossfire?
thank you |
Crossfire requires 2 PCIe slots and 2 PCIe cards. I am assuming you want to use 2 video cards for performance purposes. Since you only have 1 PCIe slot you are out of luck for that.
You might be able to use an HD4650 in the PCIe slot and an old ATI video card in the PCI slot. The only purpose in trying this would be to allow 3-4 monitors to be used. Currently the HD4650 in the PCIe slot supports 1-2 monitors. Again since you only have 1 PCIe slot Crossfire would not be involved in this. Whether this works only depends on the video cards used and the driver used.
