Ati2dvag error please help!

Hello everyone. I tried running the July update for my card, which is a 1600 pro. Everything seemed to be fine after the restart. I started to play the game BF2 yesterday afternoon. The game loaded fine but there was no picture only sound. After a few minutes, the game quit and the blue screen appeared with the error. The problem was described as an "infinite loop error caused by the driver". There seems to be an awful lot of fixes when you google this. Everything from rebuilding your rig from scratch to reinstalling windows. I doubt that. the problem seems in my opinion seems to be the update itself. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I can go to safe mode, however I am able to remove the driver without doing so. Your suggesting I remove it from safe mode?

Yeah, boot up in safe mode and remove the driver.

When you reboot the pc should be OK in normal mode and you can then install drivers that worked last.
