3 monitor nightmare
3x dvi monitors
1x HD6870
2 monitors connected on DVI
1 on mini display to DVI adaptor
I can get 2 monitors to work at a time but not 3. Catalyst control lets me exted to 2 but not 3 one always has tp be disabled.
FS - I have been at this for about 6 monmths now lol (see my previous posts)
I though this new card would run up to 6 monitors. Surely ATI have this cracked 3 monitors from one card by now.
Is there something I am missing in my frustration
Apart from buying entirely new monitors.
I really dont want to put my old 5770 in as well as the new card for the 3 rd monitor.

hi
I really though using 2x DVI's and one mini display port should have been ok but no:
Already tried:
2x DVI & 1 Mini Display port to DVI -No luck
2x DVI & 1 HDMI - no Luck (thats to be expected)
1x DVI & 1 HDMI & 1x Mini Display port to DVI -No luck
Next I may get another Mini Display to DVI cable & try:

This was an upgrade, no?
Exactly what steps did you follow before installing the new card? Did you do a thorough driver clean-up?
If you are swapping cards, it is a good idea to completely remove all drivers not only using the ATI utility, but a 3rd party "Driver Cleaner." I used Driver Sweeper. Then, when you shut down to make the swap, the computer will be just as if you never had your other card installed.
Sometimes you can have some really annoying problems if all of the registry entries are not cleared.
