Upgrading the graphics card

hey all,
my mate has a macbook pro 4.1 and was wondering if he'd be able upgrade the current video card which should be a GeForce 8600M GT to a Geforce GT430. not too sure if its compatible, but both are GDDR3 and pci-e and have a 128-bit memory interface.
thought i'd come here because other forums have answered some of my previous questions ^^
thanks

Re: Macbook Pro Graphics

The macbook pro has integral graphics on the motherboard, so there's no chance of upgrading it any time soon. However, you can add more memory which will boost performance.
