TV shows in iTunes

Can any one tell me why there is an option to save video files under the 'TV Shows' tab in iTunes, but there is no TV Shows menu on the iPod so I cannot watch them on my iPod?

TV shows will show up under the Videos column anyhow. In iTunes, when in the videos section, go to the individual file preferences of each video file there, and change the "genre", to "T.V. Show".

Hope this helped.

That's what I've done, in the induvidual file preferences I have changed the genre of some files to 'TV show', but on my iPod there is no 'TV show' section so the files do not show on my iPod.

Also, when I plug my iPod in & the iPod details come up in iTunes, there is a section where I can choose which TV show's I want to sync to iPod. If I tick 'Sync Selected', the video files that I have saved under 'TV Shows' do not come up in the 'Selected' list.

generic error message in quicktime

I just got an ipod nano, and it's killing me that I cannot begin using it because itunes+quicktime won't install properly. The only error message I get is "a problem occured in this plugin". I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, but that's not helping. I had itunes on this computer about a year ago with my shuffle and everything worked fine. What gives? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have just sorted the problem. In Get Info, fill in all the information under the Video tab, and under the Info tab, select TV Show as the genre.
Now a TV shows section has appeared on my iPod.

However, when I rename the files under the Info tab, iTunes sometimes then splits them up, wheres before all files of the same TV show were organised into one section.
However, this is not the case when the files are transfered to ipod, as files are organised according to the information put under the Video tab.
Considering iTunes CAN put all files from the same TV show in one section it seems that it organises the files in the same way, so why am I getting the problem of the files being 'split-up'?

Any help will be greatly appreciated
