Powermac G4 won't boot tiger annd will only boot jaguar!
Hi
Just turned on my mac, and it booted into jaguar. It was set for Tiger. So I set it in my system prefs, boot tiger on secondary hdd (macintosh hd). I saved changes and restarted and it booted jaguar again. how can i fix it without reinstalling both oses?

i believe you can press opt at boot and choose the OS, maybe worth trying to force the boot to tiger, then run a permissions repair etc, then try and force the tiger os to boot first from within tiger.

I tried a repair permissions from my OSX Install disc (the option key didnt work) and it seems to be alright and i also set the startup disk to be tiger again. worked on first reboot and tiger wouldn't put the disk icons on the desktop (had to go into finder to access them which was a pain in the neck)and i rebooted, and went into jag again. I reset the startup disk on the install disk and i regained icons and it rebboted tiger twice in a row so i think its working, but i won't keep my hopes up(ive got tiger running now btw )
Now i can run all of my apps

I'd suggest repairing disk permissions from the disk utility in the utilities folder of tiger (on the HD) and it should then run fine.
