I don't have a Mac so I don't have it, but I've seen friends with it. Some features look interesting, but I haven't seen anything major.
I just can't understand paying over $100 for what appears to be a point-release. |

Pfft... There are some major overhauls on leapord...
I will get it.. soon enough... But need to save up first and have some other stuff that needs purchasing first... one of those being a ram upgrade for the mac... BTW how much did you get it for? The student discount this time seems pretty pathetic ![]()

I paid $130 for it. The dumb thing is I don't actually own iLife since it was bundled with my Mac when I bought it, and I would have to use those special Tiger install discs to have iLife, so I had to buy iLife 08 which was $80.
I think its a better deal to pay $130 for Leopard than to pay $340 for Vista Ultimate, especially since Leopard is a better OS than Vista anyway. I was thinking of getting either a Western Digital MyBook or a Seagate FreeAgent. But what is the difference between the freeagent pro and desktop versions? which do you think would be better by the way, the seagate or the western digital? |

Mac always seemed like an OS for people who don't want to know or don't want to learn how to really use a computer. It's shiny, big buttons, not in-depth at all, etc.
Windows seems right in the middle. Linux is the extreme end. You can do anything if you have the programming skills. Just my 2c.....

Oh you didn't even use a student discount? You can get it for $116... still kind of pathetic...
Better than vista though ![]() Quote:
LOL... you have got to be kidding... Microsoft is the one with the big shiny buttons... Windows vista is way less user dependent... OS X is based off of unix, yes it is user friendly, but you still need to know how to use a computer. Oh and OS X is a much better built operating system. So if you know anything about computers when it comes to OS you would prefer OS X, no windows. Last edited by bball4ever39 : October 29th, 2007 at 01:08 AM. |

Ok well when as OS calls a new feature "Time Machine" it's made for computer retards. And the only people I know who use a Mac do graphic design. That's because they are artsy, not techie. Don't get me wrong, Windows users are noobs too, but Mac has always been built with UI simplicity in mind (remember the fscking one-button mouse? useless...) |
