First, uninstall Quicktime from Add/Remove and then start searching for it on your local drive:
C:\Program Files
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
C:\WINDOWS\system32\quicktime
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\PLUGINS
Download Reg Cleaner;
(URL address blocked: See forum rules) (cut and paste link into address bar)
Run RegCleaner. Under the Software tab, find all entries for quicktime and delete them. Reg Cleaner is an excellent safe program that makes a backup of all changes so you can reverse them.
Hopefully you should now be able to install Quicktime and iTunes. If not get back to me |
