IMac G4 Flat Panel Monitor Connector
My iMac G4 flat panel (lamp)
http://www.apple-history.com/?page=gallery&model=imac_early_2003&performa=off&sort=family&order=ASC
has died. The monitor is still good so I want to take out the guts and connect the monitor to another computer to use. How would I go about taking the iMac monitor connector and converting it to something I can use with a Mac Mini?

You pretty much can't. If you want to reuse parts from computers, you should buy them seperately.
I once tried the reverse with an older CRT Imac, where the analogue board for the screen had burned out. Simply couldn't be done, because data for the logic board went over the analogue board and vice versa.
This is the reason you shouldn't buy all-in-one prefab machines, no matter how good they look. One part fails, no matter how insignificant, you're basically screwed.

That's the reason you shouldn't buy macs. When one part of the fancy machine goes, the rest, which you paid for, goes with it regarless. If it was a bad desktop bought a few years ago with a flat pannel LCD seperately, at the same price, he would now have a working flat pannel, and could save, or get nicer on his next PC purchase.

You could take one of the PowerMac G5's, they have 'normal' cases. No ATX, but at least you can fit a PCI card in it. That is, if you can get Max drivers for the PCI card :-P.
