Unhappy HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE error!

Hi, I'm new on this site. But whenever I try to download iTunes for my computer it keeps stopping and it tells me that it cannot open the file HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and I've tried many different things to fix it but none seem to work. Please help?

I'm not a "computer person" so to speak but I do understand a lot of things.... Please help me?

Installing iTunes requires a user of type Computer Administrator. Is your account of type Computer Administrator or Limited? If it is Limited then log into any account that has type Computer Administrator and try again.

If you do not know your type go into the Control Panel and open User Accounts.
