totally off topic:
i think the more imperative technology advancement that needs to be made in the next 5 years is something to do with alternative fuel sources or alternative drive mechanisms for cars, trucks, and airplanes... Oil is running out and no one is scared enough yet... too many people are still buying Hummers. And my plane tickets to visit the states have gotten marginally more expensive from year to year (even though service has gone down the crapper... go figure)
but now i'm the guy who made this thread way too long and veered it way off topic, so I'll stop...
