Ya.. well everything will get faster..

Right now if you want lighter and smaller you have 3 options.

1) Super small, light, cheap but slow
2) Super small, light, faster but extremely expensive
3) Slightly bigger, light, fast, and reasonably priced.

Everything is getting faster and smaller though. We shall see where technology goes over the next 5 years.

can I put a vote in for that to get the "obvious statement of the year" award? hehehe.... just jerkin you around.

totally off topic:

i think the more imperative technology advancement that needs to be made in the next 5 years is something to do with alternative fuel sources or alternative drive mechanisms for cars, trucks, and airplanes... Oil is running out and no one is scared enough yet... too many people are still buying Hummers. And my plane tickets to visit the states have gotten marginally more expensive from year to year (even though service has gone down the crapper... go figure)

but now i'm the guy who made this thread way too long and veered it way off topic, so I'll stop...

No what I meant is its getting smaller and faster. Doesn't mean it will continue to do so over the next 5 years.

But I think its time we stop getting off topic on this thread.

I was solving same dilemma about a year ago.
I went for mac, since I wanted to see how good the soft was.
None of that Mac Church crap, I've been Win user for over 10 years. Now I'm using windows only for games, coz after I got used to Mac OS it proved to be much faster.
Worst case if you wont like it, you can still use Windows, that's what I was saying to myself, before buying Mac)
Tell us what you decide
