23" Cinema Display - Control Buttons Not Working

I am using an original model 23" Apple Cinema Display with a PC. As of recently, the control buttons on the side for power and brightness no longer respond when pressed while the monitor is running in Windows XP. I have done some tests with the display separately and determined that the buttons are not broken and that the monitor is not faulty. So I think there is something with my OS install causing the problem. I haven't changed anything as far as I know of that would affect the controls on the monitor. Any ideas on what my problem might be would be much appreciated.

Thanks...

I don't have a cinema display but i do have my apple powermac manuals which had a bit about monitors in. I think the monitor is supposed to have a male USB cable on it. If it does plug it in.i remember reading about USB power control, turning pc on with monitor vice versa, so that cud block off controls. I want a cinema display myself, but it works on other systems anyway? quite possibly the USB connector idea.

good luck

Also, try reinstalling the drivers for your monitor too

Cheers for that. An obvious solution, but somehow I missed it. Driver is in now and all seems to be working better.
