Mobile CPU's?

O.k well i work at bestbuy and well although laptops are my favorite to sell there is one major factor that i am not to clear about which is basically Intel vs AMD issue.

when it comes down to AMD turion and Intel core 2 duo i know the core 2 duo is still faster but is the Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.67GHz CPU still faster than a AMD Turion 64 X2 TL58 1.9 GHz? i mean like i said i know the intel is faster but is it enough to make it out perform the AMD's 1.9GHZ?

amd's (from my experience) have higher voltage requirements but they handle heat better

As ssjaken said the heat is better.
I have found the batteries also last longer on AMD platforms (do not know why, but they do in the two I have used at work).

The intels on chip coding and size factor is better though,
(they can process a shorter string a shorter distance so thy do not have to run as fast)
this is why they are faster and a better buy in the long run, especially with Vista OS platforms.
Another reason is the new motherboard chipset found on Intels lappies from the 945GM
and up to the newest 5seris (hard to follow intel numbers (lol)) this overall makes them a better buy.

Personally I am mad at AMD for falling so far and being so dumb.
