Building a new machine

I want to use an AMD processor.

I am not a gamer. I do however do pretty intensive photoshop and digital photo manipulation.

I've settled on
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 Motherboard

8 Ggs of DDR3 memory

GeForce 9500 GT Video Card - 1GB DDR2, PCI Express 2.0

I have 2 hp 20" monitors already and a 500 Gg HD

I know it has to be A3 socket, beyond that, the more I read the more confused and undecided I am.
I know enough to be very dangerous and ineffective. Oh yeah running W7 pro & CS4
Thoughts anyone?
I apologize in advance if I'm in the wrong forum. Please do not flog me, just move my post. Thank you.

It's worrisome that the post under mine has been up over a month, has had 250 views, and has nary an answer. It doesn't bode well for my question which after less than a day has 17 views and....nothing. Are my expectations too high?

They are indeed too high. If you're just photoshopping and other stuff, you could probably get away with a sandy bridge based Pentium Dual Core and save money

thanks Soulman.

I ended up building a machine w/a i5 2400 cpu on a msi mobo running 8gb and using a sapphire hd5450 vid card. It is quite sufficient
