AMD XP-M 1500+ Overheating

Hello I m new here, anyways i have a sharp mebius pc gp10 laptop. It has the amd thoroughbred A 1500+ processor,VIA VT8364 Chipset, 256 mb ram on board and 40gigs HDD.The problem with my laptop is it shutdowns abruptly or when its under load.I tried different softwares to monitor my lappie's temps but in vain.Closest i came with MBM and Everest Which actually reports the Mainboards Temp around 48~51 C and reports the Cpu's around 7~10 C.I believe these are not correct or are my sensors fucked? I took it to some laptop repair shop and they said we tried changing everythng from ram to hdd but it seems yer proc is the culprit.which i thought was bull,Secondly can i change my proc??? and if yes which 1's are the best options ...btw since i live in S.Asia ,intel has a bigger mkt not amd so i may not be able to find amd procs, hence cud i swap the proc for any socket A intel proc... Regards ,Alee

Hey,

The motherboard temps sound high and as you said yourself the cpu temps are obviously being miss read, If you use the laptop with it on your lap try sitting at a clothless table as this should bring the temps down abit, Yeah you can change the cpu's in laptops but with some it can be very hard as you need to remove other things in the way first and it gets tricky, It could just be clogged up with dust, If it's easy enough to remove the cover take it off and check the condition of the heat sink and fan, If your gonna replace the cpu just look on ebay for the same model as the one you've got to be safe.
