AMD Athlon 64 X2 Problem

Hi,
As stated in the title my cpu AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ and my mobo is an MSI K9NU Neo-V. My problem is that my dual core is not set up properly, when i look into device manager it shows the two cores but one of the cores has the caution sign over it and when i look into the properties it says this:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

and

Description:
Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. The problem code is 10.

AMD has a dual core optimizer, you should try to install that, see if it helps you. I run it, and I don't have that problem.

quick easy answer well two either its a driver problem or a hardware fault which i think it is download amd Clock and see what the speeds are if they are the same i would not worry about it as it would be working fine

Try the above 2 to see if that helps

Bring up Task Manager(Ctrl+Alt+Del) and check Performances and see if there are 2 windows showing for CPU Usage History

If not RMA it before it's too late
