    Benchmarks

We'll start out the benchmark section with UT2k3 which should give us a clear indication of the G9600Pro's game playing horsepower.

In the first map we look at for UT2k3 we see the G9600Pro doing very well. It dominates the field at all levels of resolution and FSAA. 1280 x 1024 seems to be the sweet spot for the Tachyon which nearly doubles the FX 5600 at 1280 x 1024 and 4xAA/4xAF and over quadruples the 4200 in the same instance. We weren't expecting to see stellar AA/AF performance from the Tachyon G9600Pro but the card certainly pulled through and surprised us with an impressive showcase of horsepower.

    DM Antalus

The G9600Pro continues the trend and leads the pack throughout this more intensive UT2k3 map, DM Antalus. At 1024 x 768 resolution, UT2k3 is very playable at both 2x/4x and 4x/4x AA/AF. However moving to 1280 and above resolutions really put the hurt down on all of our cards. They simply weren't made for high resolution gaming with any level of FSAA enabled. Moving on.

    DM Citadel

The G9600Pro still puts the hurt down on both the nVidia based cards, however the GF Ti4200 makes a strong showing at 1024 resolution and no level of FSAA involved. The Ti series video cards are still great cards for today, but lack the hardware capabilities of DX9 applications and FSAA horsepower. The G9600Pro continues to impress.
