ProLink PixelView GeForce FX5900XT Golden Limited Review - Testing: X2 Threat Rolling Demo and

X2 Threat Rolling Demo (DirectX 8.1)

This demo requires DX9 to run but really only utilizes DX8 features, which can be misleading. It focuses on dynamic 3D shadows and DP3 bump mapping.

    geforce

These results mimic what we saw with Splinter Cell. The FX 5900XT maintains a slight edge and is the better choice between it and the FX 5700 Ultra.

Gun Metal Benchmark 1.20 (DirectX 9)

This older DX9 benchmark from Yeti Studios is a part of the Xbox title Gun Metal. All visual settings were turned on or set to high, with 2x AA and no AF.

    geforce

The FX 5700 Ultra and overclocked 9600 Pro switch positions while the FX 5900XT surpasses both cards. Differences of 3 FPS however, are unnoticeable to the eye.
