MSI FX5700 Ultra TD128 - What's in the Box?
The MSI 5700U's contents include the card, VGA-DVI adapter, 4 pin molex splitter, s-video cable, MSI case badge, 10 CD software pack, and manual.

The package is pretty comprehensive. The only other thing MSI could have included is an s-video to composite video converter.

Above you see the MSI 5700 Ultra-TD128. Its size and component layout follow the NVIDIA reference design. Notice the red PCB, copper ramsinks, and radial GPU cooler. If you had any doubts as to whether or not this was the reference design, see this picture:

As for the cooling, obviously the GPU cooler is very different than the leaf blower by NVIDIA, and MSI promises it to run at less than or equal to 28db.

The cooler, as well as all the ramsinks, are attached by plastic pushpins. When I first received the card, I noticed that the push pins applied very little pressure, and as a result the ramsinks and cooler would wobble back and forth if pushed on the edges. It is possible that once the card is in use, the thermal paste will heat up and cure, making this a minor issue.

The 4pin molex header is located at the top right corner of the video card. MSI has included a special 4pin Y splitter, special because one of the two extensions is made shorter to attach to the video card, making powering the external header less of a nuisance.

Overall the MSI 5700 Ultra-TD128 is a very nice looking card. Let’s see if the software bundled matches up with the beauty of the card.
