HIS HD 2600 Pro - Testing

Video cards are all about gaming, so a-gaming we will go. We will be testing the cards against games and a few benchmarks. What will we compare this to? nVidia’s 8500 GT is right around the same price, so that is our starting point. What better to compare it to than something of the same price? We are going to have the HD 2600 Pro, the 8500 GT, and also the HD 2600 Pro overclocked. Here is a look at the rest of the hardware:

    • Intel Pentium E2140 @3.2 GHz

    • 2 GB Crucial Ballistix

    • HD 2600 Pro

    • nVidia 8500 GT

    • EVGA 680i LT SLI

    • OCZ GamerXtreme 700 Watt

    • Windows Vista

    3DMark 06

This is the benchmark of benchmarks. Everyone will benchmark different games, but you will always see this benchmark run.

    Half-Life 2: Lost Coast

Half-Life 2 was a great game, and this was a little present people got that showed us what they were able to do with Half-Life 2. The Lost Coast offers hi-res textures and also the use of High Dynamic Range Lighting.
