ABIT OTES Ti 4200 8X - Performance
Performance
All performance numbers were taken on the following system equipped with Windows XP Professional, the latest Hyperion Drivers, Detonator 42.01's and Directx8.1.
ABIT KD7-RAID
AMD Athlon XP 1600+
256mb OCZ PC3200 RAM
Maxtor 40gb ATA133 Hard Drive
CyberDrive 32x CD-Burner
To test the 3d performance of the card, I have run 3dmark 2001 SE, , CodeCreatures, Commanch4 Demo, and Unreal Tournament 2003. Used in comparison is the eVGA GeForce4 Ti4400 running on that obsolete 4x AGP standard. The various tests are ran in several different styles to demonstrate the performance of this card in high resolutions, with goodies running, and how she scales with more power pushing. Keep in mind as you read the following graphs that this is a Ti4200 going head to head with a Ti4400, the next evolutionary step up the performance scale.
Quake3
Quake 3 on the Max settings. This is an old benchmark that I'm sure you've all seen hundreds if not thousands of times and are probably as sick of it as me, but as it is a standard in the benchmarking world, I am obligated to bring it to you all.

Code Creatures
Now this is more like it. Code Creatures is a modern 3d engine that will bring the most powerful of systems to its knees as seen below.

Commanche4 Demo
Keep your eyes peeled boys and girls. This is the one and only benchmark in which the ABIT beats out the eVGA. Its Commanche 4, an arcade style helicopter simulation with high quality textures all around.

And with all the bells and whistles running...

3DMark2001 SE
All you junkies no doubt battle it out with your cronies for the right to claim supremacy as the 3DMark king, so I don't really think I have to explain this one. The following tests were ran on fresh installs of the latest detonators with no tweaking performed.
For starters, I ran with everything at stock speeds.

Just to see how they scale when you get a little bit more power behind em, the following tests were run with an Athlon XP 1600+ at 1743Mhz and 166fsb.
