USB Media Writers: An Overview - Conclusion

I have chosen to leave out the routine data benchmarks regular for storage devices simply because flash memory only runs so fast (in actual use generally around 900kB/s) and they would serve very little use. Rest assured both devices work, and work well!

The main purpose of this review, however, is to simply help affirm that multi-media USB drives exist. With Mitsumi's excellent internal 3.5" 7-in-1 that can be found for a meager $20, or any generic external reader available for under $10, these devices are well worth spending a few bucks on for anyone who uses any handheld devices with memory cards (PDAs, cameras, mp3 players, etc.). Convenience is what it's all about these days. Do not be fooled by the clunky, large, support for only one media USB flash readers at Best Buy or CompUSA, as there are MUCH better options out there. Both these devices today earn my recommendation.

Thanks for checking out our review of USB media writers here at Dev Hardware. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop me a line. Otherwise hang out at our forums or drop back to the homepage!
