Now that everything was installed and working, I did some testing. This testing included actually removing and installing the tray a few times, as well as using the drive while it was installed. The only problem I ran into at all was having to wiggle the arm a little bit while getting the tray properly seated in the enclosure.
Based on this, I gave the Icy Dock MB122 SKGF-1 a score of 7 out of 10. In my eyes, using the hard drive connectors as the main interface was a definite detriment. That and the confusing models are what kept the score of this device from being all that it could be.
