Bootable Rescue Flash Drives - Final Thoughts

Arriving at this page simply means that we’re not only on our way to finishing this article, but also to ending the four-part series that you were following until now. The one and only purpose of this multi-part article series was to shed a bit of light on the usefulness of USB flash drives when used as bootable devices and not just as portable storage. We always encourage getting the most out of everything in life.

As an extension to this article, we’d like to also suggest checking out an article that we published back in April 2007 titled “Setting Up Your USB Storage Device as a Portable Application Library.” That article focuses strictly on providing a large number of portable applications that can be really helpful for accomplishing everyday tasks for computer users of all walks of life—newcomers up to professionals. Be sure to check it out!

The bottom line is that nowadays, the amount of memory that USB thumb drives can hold has increased outrageously. We should always be looking for creative ways to get the most out of them by using flash drives to store a large variety of applications. We cannot predict which one we’re going to need when a specific unexpected situation hits us. It is better be prepared than sorry.

In closing, we’d like to thank you for following our article series on USB flash drives, composed of four independent stand-alone articles. Now, if you will, it’s your turn to contribute. Don’t hesitate to post your feedback in the blog section below this article and also tell us about your latest findings—flash drive apps, bootable tricks, etc.

Oh, and of course we can’t finish without inviting you to join our helpful community at DevHardware Forums. We’ve a strong base of resident professionals, enthusiasts, and tech experts. If you want to hear opinions on some service or ask some clarifications regarding some details just shoot us your questions. We’ll do our best to help.
