For the most part, everything here is very simple, and will only take the average PC

minutes to install. Just like the boys say, simple as a CD-Rom installation. The only thing

Conclusions:  There are several things I would like to touch on here for my conclusion. This unit is by no means is a "required" piece of equipment. You may not have room for it, you may not care for the looks of it, and you may not even give a rats ass about the quality of your pc's sound output. On the other hand, I do, and most of my associates do also. While everyone is not willing to shell out $99 for this item, it is a viable addition to any PC. And on the same note most of us here are overclockers, so basically anything we do is Overkill anyways. This is just icing on da Cake for me, heh. Also, let me touch on this  Again, the NewQ Gold DSP will work with any existing soundcard, to include those integrated with motherboards. And while this unit costs $99, it is more expensive than most of the better soundcards available at this point in time, but considering it may last you through 2 or 3 generations of soundcards, it is still an excellent solution for today's sound quality. I can whole heartedly recommend this unit for anyone that is looking to give their PC that much needed boost of sound quality. Especially if you are listening to Audio CD's, MP3's and/or DVD's.

    Highs:

    1.  Brightens up the looks of boring cases

    2. Will save you from upgrading soundcards

    3. Volume control for easy adjustments

    4. DSP/SRS/TruSurround functions that make a big difference

    5. Wow factor, hardly anyone has one of these babies!!

    Lows:

    1. Price is somewhat high

    2. Ribbon that routes from unit down to interface card at the back of your pc

    3. Unfortunately, I failed in all attempts to overclock this unit :0)

Also as a last note, there is an alternate version of the NewQ Gold DSP, without DSP that is available for $79, and may be more appealing to some buyers.
