Top Ten Productivity Apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch - Communication Apps

These are the apps that let you keep in touch. It could be through text or voice, but either way, with these apps on your side, you will never be the one left out of the loop again. The best of the communication apps include:

    Web Messenger

If you are in need of a way to have non verbal communications but you don't want to end up with the costs associated with text messaging, then instant messaging may be the way for you to go. The trick is, if you want to share information in the world of business, it is often of a sensitive nature.

That means there are certain risks to your standard instant messaging; it may not be as secure as you need it to be. If you want to use a secure type of instant messaging on your iPhone, you can use web messenger. It uses SSL encryption to let you send secured messages to another user of the service.

    FTP on the go

If part of your job, or life, is about managing websites, then you will want to consider FTP on the go. With this tool you can save your sites to your iPod touch or iPhone. If you need to, you can make changes to your site and then re-upload them on the go.

This is a great tool if you happen to do a lot of traveling or if you just want to have the degree of control that lets you manage your sites on the go. This tool is both very reliable and relatively fast, even with large files.
