The World Browsing Championship, Round 2

We return to the Internet arena for round two of the landmark browser battle. In Round 1, we saw the defending World Champion, Internet Explorer, take several huge blows after a number of vulnerabilities were exposed. The opponent, and smaller underdog, Firefox, countered by showing excellent strength in those areas.

While Firefox was able to turn some heads, the crowd stayed largely on the side of their champion.  The long time favorite was backed to the ropes several times but always managed to come out standing up, although, notably on the defensive.

The aggressor in Round 1 was definitely Mozilla's Firefox.  Firefox was the unfavored fighter Microsoft expected to fall away in the first round, but with a few good punches and some excellent defensive footwork, Firefox was standing its ground when the bell rang.

Now here we are for round two.  Both contenders stand poised for a serious bout.  Internet Explorer comes in as the defending champion and it's quite obvious that this battle means very much to Microsoft.  They are showing the crowd several improvements.  I guess we'll see if these improvements are good enough to win the fight or if it's all just for show.

Also clearly ready for round two, we have the defender, Firefox.  Mozilla returns with little in the way of aesthetic changes, instead choosing to build further on the fundamentals that proved themselves in Round 1.  But don't think that means they don't have a few new surprises for the browsing community either.  This open-source competitor has long since wanted to be the people's champion and won't stop fighting until they are.

Two very good competitors stand before us.  This should turn out to be an interesting fight.  Let's see what these two have to offer.  Please direct your attention to center ring for the announcement of tonight's fighters.
