Nero Liquid TV - Advanced questions about Nero

What do you mean by an “advanced” setup to watch over-the-air high definition (HD) shows?

In order to get premium HD shows you would need a PC with what is known as internal cable card support, which is a rarity. Even then, you may find that your HD shows have a software conflict with Windows Vista Media Center. Currently, there is no known patch for this issue.

Is Nero Liquid TV hard to install?

Not at all. The installation is so simple that you could let a child do it -- not that I'm recommending that you leave a child alone near your expensive electronics! Not unless you want that remote to end up in the toilet or to get a season pass to My Super Sweet 16, depending on the age of the child.

What about TV makers and copyright issues, am I likely to have a problem with that?

While there are currently really no issues, there is the potential for problems with the TV networks. There is the potential that in the future the network could start inserting code into their shows that will prevent it from being recorded by devices such as this.

In that event your service would be greatly reduced. This is, of course, only a hypothetical and nothing has happened yet.

Now you have the tools to figure out if this is the way that you want to get TV on your PC or if you should keep on exploring your other options. Either way, happy shopping!
