Nero Liquid TV - What can Nero do?

Can the Nero Liquid TV set up do things that my TiVo can’t do, or does not do well?

Why, yes it can! If you have a show that you want to see, but you don’t want to watch it at home (or if you would just prefer to watch it on your long and boring commute), then you can take it with you without having to use your computer.

You can burn your show to a DVD for use in a DVD player or another computer. You can also move that show over to a mobile device, if you want to see it on the small screen and take it with you on the go.

Which mobile devices can I transfer my recorded TV shows over to?

Currently the Nero Liquid TV service will support devices like your video-enabled iPods and your PlayStation Portable. Other formats may be supported as time goes on, but for now there are only the two on this list of supported devices.

Will I need to pay anything monthly or annually to use this service?

Well, that depends. In order to use the Nero Liquid TV service you need to have an active TiVo account. If you already have a TiVo account you will not have to buy anything else. If you do not have that service you will need to get it.

The good news is, however, that when you buy the Nero Liquid TV set up box, it comes with a one-year subscription to the service. So you will not have to pay any subscription or service fees for at least the full first calendar year. After that, however, you are on your own when it comes to paying the monthly service fee.
