Athlon 64 and Windows XP 64 Bit Edition - Benchmarks: Graphics

    #DMark01 Build 330SE

This result can completely be dropped on ATi's doorstep. Until we get a much more updated driver from them, gaming is going to be next to impossible in this operating system. Note that I was using an older Radeon 8500.  Newer models should be as affected, if not more, by the 64-bit move. nVidia does have some "Forceware" drivers available on their site, however they are not mature and will still restrict your performance. I highly doubt the results could be any worse than these.

There are two parts to this benchmark. The first computation is mainly CPU based, while the second is more system oriented. For more information, please go to Media Motion. Thanks to Adobe for the test version of After Effects 6.0 Professional used in this review.

XP-64 is slightly slower in both tests, .08 minutes behind in the first comp, and 0.43 minutes in the second. This works out to just over 1% difference in total. Not what I'd call significant, but it was repeatable.
