iRiver Clix 2 GB Review - Performance
The performance of the Clix 2 GB player is impressive with fast processing times and accurate sound. File transfers are blazingly fast at about 3.7 MB per second. Video moves smoothly at 15 frames per second. This player has very quick processing times when navigating through the menus and selecting music or video.
The sound quality of this player is awesome! The included earbuds work very well with this player, and they will be sufficient for most people in terms of sound quality. A built-in equalizer allows the user to get the perfect sound for their taste.
The battery life is also good. The battery is a lithium polymer internal battery that has a battery life of about 25 hours, according to the manufacturer. This will give the user plenty of juice to listen to music, watch video clips, or play games in between charges.
Overall, this player is a great performer in the sound reproduction category, as well as the processing speeds category. I would rate this player among the best in its class for sound quality, because of its customization capabilities, and its unusually good low-end response with the included earbud headphones.
Summary
It is hard to say anything negative about the iRiver Clix 2 GB MP3 player, as it excels in every aspect. With this player you are getting great usability, great design, excellent sound quality, great video playback, and a ton of awesome features. It almost seems like the perfect MP3 player, and it may be for some people.
The small design is great for people who want to use the player during workouts. It's hard to beat the sound quality, and the included earbuds work great. The interface is easily learned and is very effective when navigating through the menu system. The 2.2 inch LCD screen is great, and it reproduces images and video very nicely.

I would have liked to see the docking station included with the player, but I guess you can't always get what you want. This additional accessory is only an extra $50 anyway, so it doesn't break the bank. I can't complain about much with this player, as iRiver has fixed the issues with the Clix's predecessor and made the Clix into one of the best MP3 players on the market. If I were to rate this player I would would give it a 9.5 out of 10 in the 2 GB MP3 player class.
