Top Five Sporty Headphones for Under $50 (Page 1 of 4 )
Many people buy MP3 players today because of their compact size, which makes them great to use during workouts. Some of these sporty players come with decent headphones but others do not. So I wanted to do some research into finding the best available sporty headphones on the market today. Hopefully this article will be useful to someone who wants something better than their sub-par pair of headphones or for someone who has lost or damaged their factory headphones and is looking to replace them.
I will review five of the top sporty headphones available on the market today which are designed to be used during a workout, running, or any other physical activity. The products that I have chosen have been picked based upon their sound quality, overall design, and price. I am looking for the best sport headphones on the market which will offer the user the best bang for their buck.
The prices that I have listed in this review are prices which you would expect o pay for these products in today's market. In some cases, slightly lower prices can be found with a little searching online, but the prices which I have listed are good averages. The products that I have chosen are in no particular order, and they will all be good choices for someone looking for a pair of sporty headphones for a good price.
Arriva Sports Headphones ($30)
You may not have heard of Arriva, as it is only a small company in Colorado that is trying to make a name for itself. Its headphones are 100% geared toward the active individual. Because it are such a small company, its headphones are only available at its website or at Amazon.

I chose these headphones because of their great design. They will not fall out of your ears because of a design which is unlike any other in today's market. Arriva has designed these headphones with a soft rubber ear-bud piece which fits inside of your ear. There are three different sizes of rubber tip which come with the purchase of these headphones.
What is unique about these headphones is the headphone cord which wraps around the back of your head and keeps the ear-buds securely in your ear. On Arriva's website there is a video of a guy jumping on a trampoline with the headphones on and doing various twists and turns, and the headphones stay securely in his ears during all of this. On top of that, the headphones are barely visible when you wear them.
The sound quality of these headphones is not stellar. They produce average quality sound with not very good bass response. The reason I chose these headphones, though, was because of the great design which keeps the ear bud in your ear no matter what kind of workout you are performing. These headphones are available on Arriva's website for $30, and you can purchase refurbished ones for only $15. If Arriva addresses their less than perfect sound quality in future models, it will definitely have something great on its hands.
